Since 2000, Rebecca Mark-Jusbasche has been president of Resource Development Partners, LLC, (RDP) investing in water, energy technology, and agricultural projects with a focus on sustainable development. RDP has funded water industry startups including WaterHealth International, (WHI) and she is a member of the WHI board.
She has more than 30 years’ experience in creating and leading infrastructure development projects around the globe.
An investor in Dredgit Environmental since its formation, Ms. Mark-Jusbasche serves as Chairman of this innovative startup. Dredgit Environmental serves industrial and municipal customers using a proprietary process to remove and de-water sediment and sludge from fresh water and wastewater sources.
In 1998, she formed and served as CEO and Chairman of Azurix, the first competitive global water company for owning and operating infrastructure in the water industry. The company acquired Wessex Water in the U.K. and numerous water entities in North America, South America and Europe. The company had revenues over $500 million and a workforce in excess of 3,000. Ms. Mark-Jusbasche took the company public in an IPO in July 1999.
Prior to Azurix, Ms. Mark-Jusbasche built the international asset businesses for Enron, serving as CEO. Through ground up development, the company built an $8 billion power and pipeline company operating in 20 counties around the globe. Under her leadership, the companies raised equity and project financing in excess of $20 billion.
Earlier in her career, she held various finance positions at Enron in treasury and project finance for pipelines, early cogeneration and independent power projects. She led a number of development projects and then formed Enron Development Corp, serving as CEO. Ms. Mark-Jusbasche began her career in the management training program at First City National bank and moved to commercial lending in both international and regional banking groups.
Ms. Mark-Jusbasche holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.I.M. in International Management from Baylor University and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
